All music tells a story, be it the intended tale or something the listener imagines. In the theatre, the lines of a playwright are brought to life not only by a cast of actors but through vivid staging, with projection offering a wealth of dramatic opportunity. How might an orchestra harness this potential?

In Mother Goose, Ravel attempts to see the world again through young eyes. Treasured fairy tales transport us back to a time of childhood innocence – but within the music’s beauty sit unsettling realities. As ethereal projections entwine with the orchestra on stage, experience a contemporary re-telling of childhood, ageing and the memories we create on each of our journeys.

In our most technically daring #ConcertLab to date, we also glimpse fragments of the whole in Silver Falls, while Quiet City offers a haunting reflection of a lifetime’s choices.

Please note the later time of this concert - 9.00pm - to allow darkness for projections.
Performance length: approximately one hour.

Tickets on the door will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 8.30pm.
