1039 concerts. 187 soloists. 115 guest conductors, including Sir Antonio Pappano, Edward Gardner, and Marin Alsop. For 20 years, Southbank Sinfonia has championed emerging musicians, empowering them to reach their full potential.

We were delighted to mark our 20th anniversary with a concert featuring Roxanna Panufnik’s newly commissioned piece, TWENTY, as well as Beethoven’s Egmont Overture. Southbank Sinfonia were also joined by student musicians from Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School and In Harmony Lambeth to perform Vaughan Williams’ Concerto Grosso, after which 2002 alumni, Tamás András and Andrew Skidmore performed Brahms’ beloved Double Concerto.

Completed with birthday cake made by our Development Manager, Danielle Robson, and sparkling rosé provided by Bat and Bottle, it was a wonderful evening to mark 20 years of Southbank Sinfonia’s Fellowship.
