The Spitalfields Music Trainee Music Leader Scheme is a paid, practical training programme for musicians of all genres who are passionate about creative music making in community settings. The Trainee Music Leader Scheme is one of the most prestigious and well-respected schemes of its kind. Spitalfields Music and Southbank Sinfonia are offering
one traineeship for a musician who is an alumnus/a of Southbank Sinfonia.
As a trainee, you will gain hands on experience as a supporting music leader on at least three creative projects with Southbank Sinfonia through its work. You will receive mentoring throughout the year from experienced music leaders, and attend training days (mostly in London, East Anglia, Leeds and/or online). You will also work towards designing and delivering (with other trainees) creative schools projects with Spitalfields Music in east London in spring and summer 2023.
