Biography

Born and raised in France from Italian parents, I started learning the cello at the age of 4 with the Suzuki method. After a few years of cello, I asked my parents if I could start playing the French horn and never stopped since then. Growing up as a teenager, I did not really think about playing it professionally and always saw it as an hobby. Therefore, after high school, I decided to start a business degree. After completing my studies in Lyon (France) I realised it was not for me and that I wanted to focus fully on music.

Growing up as a teenager, I did not really think about playing it professionally and always saw it as an hobby. Therefore, after high school, I decided to start a business degree. After completing my studies in Lyon (France) I realised it was not for me and that I wanted to focus fully on music.

In 2013 I started my bachelor at the Royal College of Music in London, studying mainly with Timothy Jones Jeff Bryant and Nigel Black.

I studied at RCM from 2013 - 2019. In the meantime, in 2016, I becamea member of the Orchestra L.Cherubini in Italy, an orchestra created and conducted by Riccardo Muti for young graduates offering 3-year contract. Thanks to that experience, I was able to develop my knowledge of Italian opera.

Since I have moved to London, I had the opportunity to play with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic and alongside the London Symphony Orchestra in Aix-en-Provence.. I am also very lucky to have played in Italy with orchestras such as Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice of Genoa, and Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, and in France with Orchestre National de Cannes.

Outside music, I like to play football a lot and I am very passionate about sports in general (MotoGP, Formula 1, Cycling, Basketball, Tennis, etc..). My other big passion in life is Food (cooking & eating).

QUICKFIRE QUESTIONS

What is your favourite piece of music and why do you love it?
My favourite pice of music is O.Respighi’s Roman Festival. It’s 25 minutes of great music and it is so easy to picture the music in your head.

What’s your most memorable moment as a musician?
Everytime I have been back home in back and played with the Orchestre National de Cannes with my first horn teacher in the section. As a comparison I feel like a football player playing for the team he has always supported and with his childhood hero.
