I was born in Cagliari, a sunny city overlooking the Mediterranean. Sun and music were the backdrop to most of my days. My father boasts a collection of over a thousand of CDs and vinyls, which are always playing on the stereo system at home and in the car. My aunts also used to bring me to live-concerts of every genre and one of them owns a dance school where I have spent most of my week-days dancing ballet since I was 3 years old.

My father boasts a collection of over a thousand of CDs and vinyls, which are always playing on the stereo system at home and in the car. My aunts also used to bring me to live-concerts of every genre and one of them owns a dance school where I have spent most of my week-days dancing ballet since I was 3 years old.
However, no one in my family is a musician so I ended up in the conservatoire of my city almost by chance. Another aunt (yes, another one. Did I say that I have a BIG family?) found out that kids could audition to study in the conservatoire even without playing an instrument. I decided to give it a go and I got a place for piano and clarinet. Choosing between the two was easy: I googled what a clarinet was and decided that it was way more practical to bring along and fun to play than piano.
Since then, playing the clarinet led me to visit hundreds of places, and I absolutely loved it. I travelled for lessons, masterclasses, and competitions all around Italy and Europe. After finishing high school, I realised that it was time to leave my beloved island. I firstly moved to Paris where I lived and studied for two years and then to London. Here, I completed my Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music in 2022, where I studied and played with amazing musicians.
In the UK I am getting more and more addicted to music. Listening to incredible concerts and playing in orchestras every week is a dream come true. Having the opportunity to perform with professional orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra is just amazing.
Music is extremely powerful because it can express all feelings of human nature. This is so incredible that we must try to share it with as many people as we can. That’s what I work every day for.

QUICKFIRE QUESTIONS
What is your favourite piece of music and why do you love it?
I don’t have a favourite piece, but I can mention the one that touched me the most so far. It is the second movement of the Symphony No. 7 by Beethoven. I heard it for the first time live played by the student orchestra of the Royal Academy of Music. It was one of the first live concerts after the pandemic, and what I felt when the second movement started was so intense that I couldn’t stop crying even after the end of it.
What’s your most memorable moment as a musician?
Playing Tosca’s clarinet solo on top of a mountain. I’ve been filmed with a drone so I’ve got proof!
