Update from Southbank Sinfonia - April 2020

Dear friends,

This is not the message I’d like to be writing, but I contact you today with an update on our status.

Following government advice regarding COVID-19, we are further suspending Southbank Sinfonia’s orchestral activity until 17 August. We shall, of course, continue to evaluate the situation and adapt accordingly.

We may no longer be able to perform together, but we are busy at work supporting our musicians and continuing our fellowship programme as best we can. From virtual seminars on Peak Performance Training to finding new ways to make music together, it has been a challenging time for all involved, and we are incredibly grateful for the love and support showed by so many.

We recognise this is a difficult time for many of us. However, if you can lend support through a donation to our Music Director’s Appeal, it would be hugely appreciated. Together we can still make 2020 a beneficial year for all.

Stay safe, look after one another, and we hope to be with you
again soon.

Thank you,

William Norris
Managing Director
