Lucilla, born in Padua in 1991, began to play the piano at the age of eight, and only a few years later started studying the viola at the Padua Conservatoire. After graduating in 2013 with an Artists Diploma from the Conservatoire of Vicenza, she continued studying in Cremona at the Walter Stauffer Academy, and most recently, at the Bruckner University in Linz.
A keen chamber musician, Lucilla has had the opportunity to perform in various ensembles with colleagues and has taken part in lessons and concerts with well-known musicians such as Bruno Giuranna, Lily Francis and Nuovo Quartetto Italiano.
Lucilla has performed in symphony orchestras both in Austria and Italy, including the International Orchestra Institute of Attergau, under the patronage of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Regional Conservatoires of Veneto Regionale, Orchestra of Padua and Veneto and Orchestra of the Olympic Theatre.
Lucilla is a keen chamber musician performing with the Ensemble Chamber Orchestra of Mantova at the Mantova Chamber Music Festival and Progetto Orchestra with Leon Spierer, winning the Fatima Terzo Bernardi Award.
What do you love about classical music?
I would like to answer with the words of a famous writer: “Art altogether is nothing but a survival skill, we should never lose sight of this fact, it is, time and again, just an attempt – an attempt that seems touching even to our intellect - to cope with this world and its revolting aspects, which, as we know, is invariably possible only by resorting to lies and falsehoods, to hypocrisy and self-deception, Reger said.”

Beethoven – he is my favourite composer and his Ninth Symphony made me fall for classical music when I was really young.
Milan Kundera – one of my favourite writers.
Niccolò Paganini – probably just to ask him to play for me.
