An epic choral masterpiece. Simon Over conducts Edward Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius: a story relating the journey of a man’s soul after death.

An orchestral prelude emerges, and so begins this oratorio based on a Victorian poem by Cardinal John Henry Newman. Enter a musical world laden with emotional power, depicting fallen angels, pain, fear, and exultation. Join Southbank Sinfonia, Parliament Choir, and Simon Over, at Rome’s second-largest church, St Paul’s Outside the Walls, in the Vatican City, Rome.
