WA Mozart Symphony No.29
Felix Mendelssohn Symphony No.4 'Italian'
Academy of St Martin in the Fields

Breathless excitement bursts forth as we gallop along, the Italian landscape a warm blur. Mendelssohn's sun-kissed symphony provides a musical postcard from a young composer revelling in the ‘supreme joy of life’, inspired on his adventure by everything from Roman ruins to sparkling coastal waters.

Sitting alongside our players, the musicians of the world-renowned Academy of St Martin in the Fields lead the way in this unconducted performance.

The repertoire for this concert has changed compared to that advertised in our Concert Diary. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
