Programme

Few orchestras or orchestral academies can match the breadth and variety of the SbS programme.

Audiences can hear SbS alongside internationally-renowned artists in major venues; explore new and familiar repertoire at the free, informal Rush Hour series; meet the players and join in craft activities before one of our family concerts; listen to chamber music, jazz and opera, or to one of the SbS players performing a concerto with the orchestra.

Away from the public stage, SbS musicians can be found in the recording studio, leading education workshops and management training sessions, being coached by leading artists or playing alongside members of some of the UK’s finest orchestras.

Finally, there is the series of Professional Development workshops which prepare the players for life as a busy professional musician, covering subjects as diverse as improvisation and public speaking to networking and managing finances.
